Timestamps and text messages debunk the idea that Fulton County had to stop counting votes for an extended period of time at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Election Day. Fulton County claimed that a burst water main in the arena led to a four-hour delay in counting votes, and that “Pipe-Gate” somehow necessitated days of additional time for vote-counting even though none of the ballots got wet. But State Farm Arena did not tweet its statement about the incident until 9:19 PM ET. With President Trump in the lead in Georgia, all of a sudden the notoriously pro-Democrat pro-Stacey Abrams Fulton County had to stretch out its vote-counting. Georgia Republican Party chairman David Shafer revealed that Pipe-Gate was used by Fulton County election workers to count votes in secret without observers present. A public records request led to the exposure of a text message by Atlanta Hawks vice president of facilities Geoffrey Stiles claiming the story was exaggerated.

Lawyers: Georgia Recount Is A Farce, Observers Only Present in 10% of Vote Count Teams

Questions are being raised about the methods being used in the Georgia hand-ballot recount that if proven true could reveal the recount as a farce

In announcing that the State of Georgia would execute a recount of the ballots cast in the 2020 General election, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, intimated that the exercise would put to bed concerns about vote fraud in the election. Now, questions are surfacing about the methods being used to execute that recount. Raffensperger, a Republican, said in announcing the recount, “This will help build confidence. It will be an audit, a recount and a re-canvas all at once.” He said all of the 159 counties in Georgia execute the hand recount and that it should be completed by the deadline for the state to certify the election results, November 20, 2020. But reports are coming out of vote tabulating centers that the recount effort is nothing more than a duplicate of the initial process which would effectively do little to audit the process. Molly McCann, who is of counsel to Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell, tweeted out, “Attention, Georgia. The Georgia Republican leaders are selling us out. I am listening to @jfradioshow on Bannon’s War Room, and he is reporting that the Georgia recount is a farce. They are using one observer for ten teams, which means the observers are only able to…” McCann’s tweet continued, “…watch 10% of the action. They aren’t checking signatures or matching absentee votes with addresses. Essentially, it is a pure recount that will re-tabulate the bad ballots.”

Raffensperger has come under intense fire from the Trump campaign, which requested the hand executed manual recount. He has taken further fire from Sens. David Perdue (R-GA), and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), who called for his resignation over his handling of their races, which heads to an all-important January 5, 2021, runoff election, and the election in general. “The management of Georgia elections has become an embarrassment for our state,” the Perdue and Loeffler said in a statement. “We believe when there are failures, they need to be called out – even when it’s in your own party.” Raffensperger said “that is not going to happen.”
