Events will play out the way they will, whether you agree or disagree with wife-anon. No need to settle this, predict correctly or whatever, today. Just let it ride. "That's nice." and "Ok" are generally safe response, and you can limit yourself to those few sylables pretty much your whole life.
Governor made an order with respect to mail in ballots. I don't recall exactly what, timing or receipt, mail to everybody, method of authenticating, something. He does not have the power to do that legally. But not a practical issue because the CA legislature passed the same rule, before the election. The legislature does have the power.
I've learned from experience that "Yes dear" and anything that includes "honey" are pitfalls, traps, fraught with danger. YMMV.
