Masks forever

https://nypost.com/2020/11/15/social-distancing-masks-necessary-after-getting-vaccine-fauci/

Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday that it will still be necessary to social distance, wear masks and take other COVID-19 precautions after a vaccine becomes available to Americans.

“I would recommend to people to not to abandon all public health measures just because you’ve been vaccinated,” Fauci told CNN anchor Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”

“Because even though for the general population it might be 90 to 95 percent effective, you don’t necessarily know for you how effective it is.”

The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases added that once he receives a vaccine, he still won’t feel comfortable completely letting down his guard.

“I can feel more relaxed in essentially not having the stringency that we have right now, but I think abandoning it completely would not be a good idea,” Fauci said.

The continued existence of the human race is at stake, Trump must win !

https://thehill.com/opinion/technology/526022-what-should-biden-do-with-nasa-and-the-artemis-program

Little is known of what Biden believes about NASA and its role in promoting space exploration. Because the United States is in for a period of divided government, Biden will not be able to make huge changes at NASA because such will have to pass muster in the Republican Senate. He will not be able to cancel the Artemis program, even if he wants to. Artemis enjoys healthy support on both sides of the aisle. Biden should remember the firestorm kindled when President Obama summarily killed the Constellation program. Continuity should be the order of the day.

The first order of business, where NASA is concerned, is choosing an administrator. Biden should know that any nominee will be given special scrutiny, especially concerning his or her support for Artemis. Whoever follows Jim Bridenstine, the current administrator, will have a tough act to follow.

Bridenstine is well liked on both sides of the aisle. He has been an effective manager for the American space program. Indeed, considerable sentiment exists in aerospace and political circles for keeping Bridenstine on. However, he has said he would not remain as administrator

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, on Sunday, urged US President Donald Trump to stand firm to the very end.

Fani-Kayode said this while reacting to Trump’s claims that Joe Biden, candidate of the Democratic Party, won the November 3 US presidential election because the poll was rigged.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Trump alleged that Biden won the November 3 election through mass fraud

“He won because the Election was Rigged,” Trump tweeted.

“NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed, vote tabulated by a Radical Left privately owned company.”

However, reacting to the development, Fani-Kayode expressed confidence that Trump will prevail, insisting that millions all over the world are with him.

He tweeted: “Stand firm to the very end. We shall prevail. God said so and so it shall be. You are not alone Mr. President: millions all over the world are with you.

“We are all proud and strong Trumpians and we are also sons and daughters of the Living God. He will never let us be ashamed!”

Hundreds of President Trump’s supporters took to the streets of California’s capital to rally behind Trump’s legal efforts to “stop the steal” of the 2020 presidential election.

"Four more years, four more years,” the crowd chanted Saturday in Sacramento.

"The reality is we've had people trying to steal our nation out from under us for decades. California used to be a nice place,” a Vietnam veteran told the crowd during the event.

Asian American supporters of the president came out in large numbers, according to a local ABC outlet, as well as people from across the state.

"I'm here to support my president, I'm here to support the Constitution, I'm here to support every American's right to vote,” one Trump supporter told the outlet.

Violence broke out when counterprotesters converged on the area, culminating in Proud Boys members unleashing bear spray on the counterprotesters.

Police made at least two arrests on Saturday, and no serious injuries were reported, according to the ABC affiliate.

Joe Biden declared that he plans to vastly increase the number of annual refugees admitted into the United States. Under the Trump administration, the maximum number of refugees permitted in the U.S. per year is 15,000. Biden pledged that he will dramatically raise that number to 125,000.

Biden made the declaration in a prerecorded video created for a virtual celebration of the 40th anniversary of Jesuit Refugee Service.
