>SCOTUS can simply make a finding that SoS is deemed to be the legislature for this purpose.

How so? Each state has a republican form of government with separation of powers between the three branches.

By what argument (except where an express provision of an applicable elections statute delegates such a power) could a state’s Secretary of State be considered a surrogate of the state legislature in amending election law?

Same as the Inauguration. Same as the rallies. It’s pointless to worry what they say: they will either be demolished or they will reign supreme. Either way, we will tune them out forever.

The President does not prepare cases, indict offenders, and prosecute the crimes. The problem within law enforcement is the problem throughout the government: the bureaucracy has been engineered to deliver results for parties other than those with constitutional authority. The system is utterly broken. One man cannot fix that in 4 years, especially when under constant siege from all sides. Maybe it can’t be fixed, but slashing government to ribbons would be a place to start. That’s where this administration has signally failed to do anything.
