We had a similar situation. We threw them out but made the mistake of trusting that they would honor our request without incident. They waited until we were at work, then robbed us blind. Stole electronics, jewelry etc. They felt justified because they felt we had no right to evict them.
Drugs and alcohol were involved. Hopefully this does not happen to you.
