Alek Minassian, 25, of Richmond Hill, was arrested on Monday after allegedly killing 10 people and injuring 15 others when he plowed into them on a busy Toronto sidewalk

Multiple reports have suggested mental illness as a likely cause. It also appears Minassian had online discussions about Elliot Rodger, the Santa Barbara mass killer.

The name Minassian, or its alternative spelling Minasyan, is an Armenian name and more than 90 per cent of Armenians are Christians.

Authorities released few details about the case but did say Minassian was not previously known to police.

Davenport, 30, is on trial for stabbing Hines 25 times, killing her, in 2015

Hines was Freeman's first wife's granddaughter; they were not related by blood

Rumors about Freeman's relationship with Hines have been swirling for close to a decade, but both denied it

Davenport's attorneys argue he is not guilty of the violent crime by reason of insanity

These new revelations come after Lamar Davenport's lawyer Annie Costanzo stated in court on Friday that not long before her death in August 2015, E'Dena Hines, 33, told her boyfriend and others that ‘her grandfather engaged in a sexually inappropriate relationship with her.’

On July 3, 2015, about six weeks before she was slaughtered outside her apartment building in Washington Heights, Hines texted Davenport to tell him that she was having issues with an older man.

So nasty and sick, he was involved with his own granddaughter.

Also Freeman is one of the 13 family names.
