>You CAN'T predict massive Solar Flares that far in advance. At best, you get a 30-seconds sat heads-up.

IDK exactly what you're talking about… we can see solar flares erupt in real time, and it generally takes 3-5 DAYS for the ejected mass to strike our magnetosphere. as for a direct blast of EM radiation that arrives at the same time as we see the flare, there are NO solar flares powerful enough to damage the grid so there is no need to concern ourselves with that.

from a PURELY PRACTICAL stand point, you will NEVER get the majority to support any ban on abortion so long as you cling to the baseless and absurd notion that a human being is created at the moment of fertilization.

besides the fact that biology says you're wrong, wouldn't it be better to be able to succeed in getting a ban on late term abortions, than no ban at all? that will NEVER happen so long as the lunatic fringe element of the anti-abortion movement is allowed to dominate the discussion.

well go right ahead and let us mere mortals in on the secret, 'cause it sure sounds like you think YOU know.

yes, i have anger. who doesn't? my POINT was that it would be far better to get a ban on late term abortions, than to have no ban at all. in the real world, that requires compromise, not ideological inflexibility.
