I saw a post PB about county officials being able to compel Dominion and others to let them audit the programming- with county IT personnel.
Not to diminish these people but they generally are not up to that task and if they didn't blow the whistle themselves in the first place? Even state IT people probably not up to this task.
Bear in mind that most election people have been in the .org's of the election sector for state and local election officials. They take donations from vendors. They "learn" about how to do elections from these organizations.
Compelling the opening of the systems and investigating the machines from hardware to software is necessary- just be sure those doing it are up to the task.
