The Old Guard is terrified and has been since Q's first appearance. Because [they] know the supernatural is real. indeed, they have relied upon it for everything since the Beginning. Dark Magick. And somehow they believed the lie of the Great Deceiver that they could complete their mission unchallenged. Millennia of control made them over-confident, deluded, weak and sloppy. "Instant gratification" enjoyed for centuries drugged them into complacency, as though they'd forgotten their own secrets: that time means nothing to the Lord. Ten thousand years is an immeasurably small fraction of a snap of His fingers. But all of a sudden, they sensed that something had changed in the matrix. They began to realize that things weren't unfolding as they were promised. But the real Promise is spelled out clearly to those who love the Almighty Father. Now the distance to the tunnel entrance foreshortens, and the moment draws nearer when there is simply no going back.

These twisted, evil characters still haven't figured out that God guides even them, even while they have a simple choice: dark or light. God would welcome any of his children back before they're lost forever. As we are told, however, many will be lost forever. Their choice. Happy holidays.
