America's highest-paid Governor Andrew Cuomo will receive a $25K raise in January - increasing his salary to $250K - as New York braces for a budget deficit of $63B

 

Cuomo's salary is set to be raised from $225,000 to $250,000 in January 2021

Meanwhile the majority of New York's government officials will not see raises

The commission that approves raises for state legislative, judicial and executive branches decided there isn't enough money to give them out on Monday

'Granting raises to public servants is simply not possible at this time,' the commission wrote in a report highlighting the toll of the coronavirus crisis

New York's deficit is expected to balloon to $63billion over the next four years
