what i notice is that when the latest attack is causing slowdowns, it is as if there is an attack on the API that various javascripts use. when board is running smoothly, the javascripts pull post counts and such from the API and they are usually up to date and more accurate than the board. when the attacks are happening all the baker tools scripts are useless because the API counts running quite behind the board itself.
