1.) I am not really familiar with the Louis 17th story on the substitution at his death and smuggled into America. According to Wiki the king died in 1795 and Peabody was born in 1795.

Louis XVII(born Louis Charles, Duke of Normandy; 27 March 1785 – 8 June 1795) was the younger son of King Louis XVI of France and Queen Marie Antoinette. His older brother, Louis Joseph, Dauphin of France, died in June 1789, a little over a month before the start of the French Revolution. At his brother's death he became the new Dauphin (heir apparent to the throne), a title he held until 1791, when the new constitution accorded the heir apparent the style of Prince Royal.

George Peabody February 18, 1795 – November 4, 1869) was an American financier and philanthropist. He is widely regarded as the father of modern philanthropy.

2.) Coincidently I find this 2014 Childs story on Mr. Peabody and his human strangely enlightening. Mr. Peabody & Sherman "Let Them Eat Cake"

3.)From FRANKLIN PARKER , "George Peabody, a Biography" (Vanderbilt University Press)

"George Peabody richly merits attention at this bicentennial of his birth. Later and vastly wealthier philanthropists such as John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, and Henry Ford are better known, but their expressions of largesse were all influenced by Peabody.

Was there nobility and a touch of the heroic in George Peabody? Many in his time thought so. My hope is that the new edition of this book will give new generations cause to reflect on the reasons he was held in such esteem."

4.)The attached book: 2014 (could be disinfo)

Mr. Peabody was a dog, but he was also a scientist, an Olympic gold medalist, a chef, and possibly the world’s smartest individual. To teach his boy, Sherman, all about history, Mr. Peabody created a time-traveling machine called the WABAC (pronounced “way back”). On their latest adventure, they used the WABAC to travel back in time and attend a party given by Marie Antoinette, Queen of France!
