The problem is people who have mortgages to pay and mouths to feed.
Before they can threaten to quit, they must be secure in their possessions at the very least.
If you want your neighbors to stand with you against the cabal, keep in mind that most of them have leins against their homes and of they fail to pay, someone will be sent to evict them.
There are legal defenses against this as well as other things - but the most expedient is to simply axe all the police and say that leins are no longer going to be enforced.
Do that in enough places at once and watch the mortgage backed security movement evaporate and take the whole financial system down with it.
