The signature work of the dark ones in spiritual warfare is efficiency through illusion, lies and redirection. The resources they have are insignificant compared to ours, so the only way their control can be maintained is if they redirected our God given strength, will and purpose against ourselves. So that they are never found as the real target. All this is purely SPIRITUAL warfare mind you, though the direct correlations in the physical world are more than obvious. An average human could free himself of all the dark ones influence tomorrow, should he choose to do so. In practice the purification process does take a few weeks or months, as the evil adapts to the countermeasures. They are very smart and manipulative, but one can not cheat or manipulate God.
