Lathrop's mayor to tie the knot
Kelly Garrett, the lovely mayor of Lathrop Village, is getting married. Garrett will wed Cornell Batie, board chair of Mosaic Youth Theatre. “I’ve known him for several years, but we’ve only been dating for nine months,” explains Garrett. “After the second date, he declared that we should be together for the rest of our lives, as in, let’s get married. I decided to get on board with it.” Garrett and Batie will wed early next year at the Detroit Athletic Club.
