Friend just sent facebook post about several large military planes coming into northern Alberta airport in past few days. Early this morning (Friday, Dec 11, 2020) lots more air traffic coming in, loud droning sound from airport and sirens (not emergency vehicles).

Grande Prairie airport is a northern hub, relatively close to BC border and Mile Zero of the Alaska Hiway.

Note re early morning air traffic: domestic flights are severely cut back, few travelling. Air Canada & Westjet main airlines if anyone wants to check their schedules.
