Canada Warns Conspiracy Theorists Could Burn 5G Towers, Claiming Link To Virus

 

A conspiracy theory linking 5G to the coronavirus has spread like wildfire this year. In April, numerous 5G towers were set on fire by folks in Britain who believed that radiation from the towers was contributing to the spread of COVID-19.

 

Now Canada's intelligence service has warned in a new confidential report, seen by Global News, that violent extremists could be ready to attack 5G wireless communication towers.

 

"As companies begin 5G infrastructure construction in earnest, extremists from across the IMV extremist landscape could engage in acts of arson and vandalism against that infrastructure," Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) wrote in the report.

 

The confidential report comes amid a wave of COVID-19 disinformation swirling around internet forums that suggest 5G technology could spread the virus.

 

"Given the extraordinary effect the COVID-19 pandemic has created on the lives of individuals across the world, CSIS is mindful that certain threat actors, across multiple threat landscapes, may seek to take advantage to advance their own interests," CSIS spokesperson John Townsend said.

 

Global News lists some of the most most popular COVID-19/5G conspiracy theories:

 

Perhaps the most elaborate asserts that 5G was designed by governments to depopulate the world, and is part of a broader conspiracy theory called Agenda 21 that imagines the United Nations is trying to establish a new world order.

 

None have any scientific validity, but white supremacists, neo-Nazis and anarchists have all adopted COVID-19 conspiracy theories to varying degrees, while the anti-vaxxer movement has promoted the notion that 5G is responsible for spreading COVID-19.

 

CSIS said physical opposition to 5G wireless communication towers is significantly less when compared to other countries in Europe.

 

However, it said "Canadian-based online communities" were pumping 5G conspiracy and far-right extremist groups were attempting to "capitalize on '5G hysteria.'"

 

CSIS noted there had been a handful of incidents in the country of cellphone towers being damaged. The most significant attack was in Laval, Quebec, in April, where one tower was torched and sustained one million dollars in damage. In early May, at least six towers were torched in Montreal.

Responding to a call-in question at the province's daily presser on Dec. 7, Premier Doug Ford and Health Minister Christine Elliott clarified that the COVID-19 vaccine will not be forced upon Ontario residents, with Ford noting that he “doesn't believe” in forcing such a thing.

 

“Constitutionally I don't think we can force every single person to take it,” the premier remarked.

 

However, just days earlier on a radio station in Kitchener, Health Minister Elliott alluded to something that many have alleged for months: restrictions could be placed on individuals who aren't vaccinated for the virus, despite its shockingly low mortality rate.

 

“If people choose not to receive the vaccine, then they may not be able to do certain things. But that will be their choice,” Elliott explained.

 

On the very same day, Toronto Sun published statements from Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams which included the following:

 

“Someone may have to show proof of vaccination, for instance, to enter a nursing home or hospital without personal protection equipment… Proof might also be required to attend school, although no decision has been made yet,” the report said.

Trucker fined $1,296 by Manitoba cops for outdoor Christian carol-singing

Brian Pallister, Manitoba’s conservative-in-name-only premier, recently imposed strict lockdown measures on his entire province, including the closure of anything he deems “non-essential” — and according to him, you’re an “idiot” if you disagree with his decision.

 

Among Pallister’s many authoritarian decrees is the closure of all churches in Manitoba. But it’s even worse than that. Pallister has banned singing, apparently.

 

That’s why we are helping Jake Klassen from Reinfeld, Manitoba. Jake’s a God-fearing trucker who organized a singing service in a public park where people could gather (2 metres apart) to sing Christmas carols and Christian hymns. Jake even took a video of the service that clearly shows families standing together, but also standing apart from the other people who came that day to praise, pray, and sing.

 

They were there spreading Christmas cheer while socially distancing in an empty park. How can there possibly be anything wrong with that?

 

Pallister found something wrong with it and the very next day, the cops showed up and handed Jake a $1,296 fine! That’s Grinchy, even for a church-closer like Pallister, so I’m helping Jake fight back. We aren’t going to pay his fine. We are going to take it to court to teach that bully Pallister a lesson in freedom.

What does learning look like during COVID? Teacher talks challenge of masks, hand washing and more

In this interview, I caught up with a junior elementary school teacher in Ontario to find out what the classroom looks like from an in-the-throes perspective during the COVID pandemic.

 

From hypochondriac-level hand washing and sanitization, to having to enforce a mask mandate that makes him uncomfortable, especially during physical activity, this educator is just happy to be back in the classroom teaching. We discuss everything from the extreme level of sanitizing, to the reduction in interactive learning and how masks are making communication and lectures difficult.

 

Amid all of the crazy stories of radical ideologies infiltrating into all levels of anything that the government touches these days, this teacher simply wants to teach and remain in the classroom to do so. He doesn’t want schools to be shut down or to be forced to teach online; he also doesn’t want to be forced to wear a mask all day where he breathes in mask fibres and can’t adequately interact with his students.

 

It was reassuring to finally be able to feature someone from the teachers' union who can think and rationalize for himself, who uses common sense to navigate the learning environment, especially amidst all of the chaos of now being a hand washing enforcer, all while figuring out ways to facilitate actual learning and connection between himself, and his students while remaining cognizant of the safety protocols.

Never did I think I’d live to see the day that Christians and other religious groups would be oppressed to the point of only being permitted to worship together if they did so with the blessing of the Canadian government.

 

Nevertheless, if you saw my report on Riverside Calvary Worship, the BC church that was fined $2300 for offering in-person services, then you know that day has come and gone.

 

How can this be? Canada is renowned for its tolerance of all different peoples and faiths. Even now, in the middle of what our government calls a pandemic, people flee to our country, in some cases illegally, while the RCMP looks the other way,

 

Yet, places of worship can face thousands of dollars in fines in the name of COVID-19 prevention, despite being linked to zero coronavirus outbreaks and adopting safety measures that should make Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry proud.

 

But maybe all isn’t lost for freedom of religion in BC. Last Sunday we saw that the RCMP and bylaw officers obeyed section 176 (2) of the Criminal Code that makes it illegal to willfully interrupt religious worship. A few days after that, when asked if the Upper Fraser Valley RCMP would be fining churches that opened in Chilliwack, BC, RCMP Corporal Mike Rail said “At this moment, the Chilliwack RCMP are moving forward with education to have compliance with the health regulations.”

 

This Sunday, I went back to Riverside Calvary Chapel, to see if they could expect the same courtesy from Langley RCMP. I also spoke with Pastor Brent Smith, about what the past week had been like since the church took a stand for their right to practice their religion as they see necessary, in contrast to what BC’s public health order permits.
