My theory on why:
Lin Wood isn't "on the official team" either, neither is Mark Levin.
It means that she can represent someone other than the president, aka the voter, aka we the people..
At this point knowing what the good guys likely have, do you really think POTUS is going to fumble on the 1 yard line..
