Barnes is neck deep in politics and legal affairs. He isn't entirely wrong in his assessment, he is just operating based off of his knowledge and experience on things.

It's like when I told someone I know, who is a local government official, about the efforts by the Democrats to preserve Biden against being prosecuted for crimes and he proceeded to tell me the way things really were by his experience.

Politics is absolutely sick and disgusting at every level. It's worn on him and I know that he's basically looking to do something outside of politics after his term is up.

He wasn't trying to be wrong or even stupid - he just can't see how the tables are being flipped.

To jump into the argument and play a role:

Gene expression is something that is still being studied quite early. Such as methylation of DNA to inhibit transcriptase.

Would it be possible to use RNA/mRNA to construct proteins to affect transcriptase - either amplifying existing sequences or activating regions typically unused? Or… I guess… Are there sequences (aside from telomeres) that represent valid proteins whuch are not actively encoded to be "activated" in the first place?
