All you have to do is look at the people who appreciate Anime … Then look at the people who go apeshit at the sight of it… And it becomes rather obvious that there is just something about our enemies that makes them incapable of seeing humanity.

It isn't that they just aren't fans of animation - it's that they don't understand humanity in the first place and thus can't translate the actions of cartoons into human stories/characters/emotions.

Imagine how an alien might see a television screen, trying to process each still frame or progression scan as a distinct piece - unable to perceieve the scene as representative of a moving scene.

That is what anime is to them, in a sense. They can't see humans in it because they don't understand the human to begin with. To them, it is just shifting shapes and forms that they can't manipulate as they so often try on 'fellow humans.'
