The idea of your cells being injected with weird RNA sounds scary. But that's exactly what normal viruses do. Think about how they work. The cells that get invaded, either by a virus or this new vaccine, will be recognized by your immune system as corrupted and will be destroyed. And you immune system learns about the invader from the debris.
It's just like being infected by the virus… but without the potential risk of out-of-control replication. The only difference is that the affected cells are widely distributed instead of being one specific type.
