Meaningless? That a Globalist leader from one of our longest and closest allies, the country from whom we received the Statue of Liberty, where Operation Overlord went down in history as the largest ever sea-born invasion; the figurehead of France goes to a particular american president's grave, tweets the same message twice, and the message is about something that is very nationalist in tone.

That kind of meaningless?

Hmmmm…..

POTUS:

God bless the alliance between France and the U.S.

Macron: Thank you for the sacrifices american soldiers made on our own soil in the name of Liberty.

High Compliment to FLOTUS The quality of reception and attention to detail for this event is commensurate to the bonds between our countries.

This is going very well.

Agreed.

Taking Macron's sole purpose into consideration, I wouldn't think POTUS would waste an opportunity to deliver his own message to the world, and in particular to the French people, using sovereignty and shared history to bring weight. I doubt Macron can change Trump; I'm not convinced of the opposite.
