I feel ya on that, we are 45 minutes from city folk here, an hour response time from sheriff's response or EMS, we raise our own things and hunt/fish also. We raised our now adult Sons this way, and they have bought their own places and continued living this way. We grow non gmo'd veggies, chickens, cows, goats and pigs. Mostly self sufficient bunch around here. Still, tho, the uncertainty of what may come weighs heavily on our futures, and day to day activities here.
Underestimate me by relegating me to the lowest common denominator if you want, we love being looked upon like we are backwoods, ignorant and less than. We play a good game of "Mutt& Jeff" until we get ya where we want ya , then……we gotcha.
I understand that, I have been a framer for 30 yrs +,but also do interior trim and flooring. We train the boys how to work and hustle.
