gun sales are through the roof and they are swamped–so maybe that is part of it
see if the delay is just a delay and cures itself
if not make sure your ss number has never been stolen or errors on your background
there is one person that comes to my local shop that has to use the federal id number because of messed up paperwork/fraud on him in the past
