Tried to buy a gun this weekend, A Glock 17 refurbished as a 22 since I have no experience and it will be my first firearm. Did lots of research and was so excited! Put it on layaway and went back to go get it and do the background check/paperwork. Got a "Delay" and wondering why… I have no felonies.. answered the questions correctly…. Is this normal or should I be concerned? tyia. trying to find a new job and wondering if whatever is showing up on my background check is affecting me finding work as well.
I've never been institutionalized. Have history of Depression (Dadanon shot himself in the head 2 years ago…) and take the fluroide for it (I know, i know,…..but I can't just stop taking it. tried that before and it was BAD. could've ended up like dadanon bad, so my doctor and I have planned for me to slowly drop dosage over a long time.) Good to know. I'm in MO so I wasn't expecting any issues or delays. Guy said that a denial usually comes through right away and then the ATF has until the 26th to contest me getting the gun.
