I disagree. It is a way of approaching situations objectively until sufficient data is gathered.
In fact, this is a blind spot for me at times. Getting angry at the stupid is unproductive. I have also come to the conclusion that in certain situations (although more rare) I have thought people were being stupid when they were actually corrupt. The trick is to know with whom you are speaking before hand.
