I was looking into the Turkey info and began searching the Iowa State Fair. It was started by a man named Judge Thomas Clagett. No farm experience but he was a publisher and later became a state legislator. Clagett's are still a name in the circuit courts.

Continuing, I came across the flyer for the State Fair. Pain's Last Days of Pompeii.

Further research led me to Luna Park the Heart of Coney Island.

The whole search was a 'All Roads Lead to Rome' with Pain reenacting great battles in a Fireworks show.
And Pain also filed a patent for use of his fireworks with a military application.
