I'm Jewish and just arrived here on the board, sent by a friend.

So many posts about Jews, it's wonderful to be surrounded by family.

Feels like a new home, glad to have found this treasure!

Can we please have some unleavened "breads" on the Sabbath?

Cut out the gluten Baker Friend.

Paleo Pancakes:

1 cup Almond Flour

1 1/4 cups Tapioca Flour (lower $ than the almond, provides some elasticity to the pancakes).

2 tsp Baking Powder

Can include 1-4 TBS Coconut Flour (thickens a good bit)

Mix well. Add:

4 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup Applesauce or Apple juice (more or less for desired consistency, mix will thicken so can add more as needed)

This doesn't seem so clear anon!

Not even sure when it was constructed, before or after Mountain trip, first or second trip, first or second set of tablets. Much confusion!

https://www.neverthirsty.org/bible-qa/qa-archives/question/who-made-the-ark-of-the-covenant-moses-or-bezalel/

''Who made the Ark of the Covenant: Moses or Bezalel?''

The First Tablets

Two tablets, on which the Ten Commandments were written, were created by God. The first set of tablets was thrown to the ground and destroyed when Moses saw that the Israelites were worshipping foreign gods.

Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, tablets which were written on both sides; they were written on one side and the other. The tablets were God’s work, and the writing was God’s writing engraved on the tablets. (NASB) Exodus 32:15-16

It came about, as soon as Moses came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing; and Moses’ anger burned, and he threw the tablets from his hands and shattered them at the foot of the mountain . . . Then Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you, that you have brought such great sin upon them?” Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my lord burn; you know the people yourself, that they are prone to evil. For they said to me, ‘Make a god for us who will go before us . . .'” (NASB) Exodus 32:19, 21-23

A second set of tablets was made later and placed into the Ark of the Covenant.

At that time the LORD said to me, “Cut out for yourself two tablets of stone like the former ones, and come up to Me on the mountain, and make an ark of wood for yourself. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets which you shattered, and you shall put them in the ark.” So I made an ark of acacia wood and cut out two tablets of stone like the former ones, and went up on the mountain with the two tablets in my hand . . . Then I turned and came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me. (NASB) Deuteronomy 10:1-3, 5

The English words do not reveal when the Ark of the Covenant was made. The Hebrew word that is translated “made” is a QAL perfect. This implies that the ark was made but we do not know when. It could have been made after Moses returned from Mt. Sinai. The passage does not tell us how much time elapsed between Moses’ return and the time that the tablets were placed in the Ark of the Covenant.

The Second Tablets

The second time that Moses went up the mountain he took another set of blank stone tablets that he had made. After God wrote the Ten Commandments on them, Moses came down the mountain and placed them into the Ark of the Covenant. That is the message of the passage above (Deuteronomy 10:1-3, 5).

Bezalel’s Ark of the Covenant

According to Exodus 31:1-6, God directed Moses to use Bezalel and Oholiab to make the Ark of the Covenant.

I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship. And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan . . . (NASB) Ex. 31:2-6

Yet, Exodus 36:1 indicates that other people helped Bezalel and Oholiab. They did not make the Ark of the Covenant by themselves. Moses was like the owner of the building project who directed activity. Bezalel and Oholiab were foremen who directed the workers. In Ex. 37:1 we see that Bezalel gets the credit for building the Ark of Covenant which was made of acacia wood.

Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood . . . (NASB) Exodus 37:1

We do know it was made of Acacia Wood.

What else can be extracted from the Acacia?

>There is way more that is actually happening than we can see happening – and what we can see, we see through filters, not only external to but inherent in our minds.

This. In some cases there is more happening. In some cases there is less. Long drives at night thinking of this. Past strip malls. Past factories. Past houses.

So much is cookie-cutter, just more of the same, not novel.

It is the novel and unique, the basement labs at a university, such is from where the new cookies flow… to be cuttered again. and again. and again.

Will always remember muh "COVID DRIVES". Did some care package drop offs. 3 or 4 of them, couple different states.

10pm and city centers empty. Desolate. Surreal.

Been quite the year. Can't believe we're winding down now.

BTW, think we're

@ the 50 Yard Line

EO gave 45 days for the report post election.

We're at 3 weeks (21 days) post election.

Close to 1/2 way there. Just need to hold the line..

Timecop1983 - Back to You (End Theme) Lyrics

Artist: Timecop1983

Album: Back to You

Restless hour on a lonely street

I do this every night cause I can hardly sleep

I drive alone to nowhere, slow

I'm searching for the parts of me I know you stole

You slipped away in the midnight breeze

Who knew that with a goodbye kiss that my heart would freeze?

Just a shadow, just an echo, just a memory

I don't know what he's got that I don't

I just wanna call you but I won't

I know we moved out but I never moved on

So I drive all night but still the truth

is none of these streets lead back to you

Will you think of me when he makes you laugh?

Does he capture you the way I could in photographs?

Should I shut my mouth and turn off the light

Pour out something strong and drink you off tonight

You slipped away in the midnight breeze

You knew that with that goodbye kiss that my heart would freeze

In the shadow, in the echo, in the memory

The Long version

Sir Roger Penrose & Dr. Stuart Hameroff: CONSCIOUSNESS AND THE PHYSICS OF THE BRAIN

January 10, 2020

Roth Auditorium - Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine

La Jolla, CA

An intimate lecture with renowned mathematical physicist Sir Roger Penrose and anesthesiologist Dr. Stuart Hameroff, followed by a conversation with The Science Network co-founder Roger Bingham. Co-organized by The Penrose Institute and the UC San Diego Institute for Neural Computation, with the support of Intheon, Neocortex Ventures, and the Data Science Alliance.

Sir Roger Penrose and Dr. Stuart Hameroff discuss one of the leading theories of consciousness recently selected by the Templeton Foundation for study.

Is the brain a sophisticated computer or an intuitive thinking device? Following on from their conference in Tucson which pitted Integrated Information Theory (IIT) against Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch-OR), Sir Roger Penrose OM and Stuart Hameroff discuss the current state of theories that might explain human consciousness.

Sir Roger Penrose describe examples of ‘non-computability’ in human consciousness, thoughts and actions such as the way we evaluate particular chess positions which cast doubt on ‘Turing’ computation as a complete explanation of brain function. As a source of non-computability, Roger discuss his ‘objective reduction’ (‘OR’) self-collapse of the quantum wavefunction which is a potential resolution for the ‘measurement problem’ in quantum mechanics, and a mechanism for non-computable physics.

And that's just "normal" consciousness.

Not the "altered states" or "elevated" consciousness.

We need to figure out Part A first.

Then we can get to B (the synchronized resonances coupled with normal conscious capabilities). See: >>11763436, >>11763369

Good times ahead!

>What gives?

''Pink Floyd - "Hey You"''

[Verse 1: David Gilmour]

Hey you

Out there in the cold, getting lonely, getting old

Can you feel me?

Hey you

Standing in the aisles with itchy feet and fading smiles

Can you feel me?

Hey you

Don't help them to bury the light

Don't give in without a fight

[Verse 2: David Gilmour]

Hey you

Out there on your own, sitting naked by the phone

Would you touch me?

Hey you

With your ear against the wall, waiting for someone to call out

Could you touch me?

Hey you

Would you help me to carry the stone?

Open your heart, I'm coming home

[Guitar Solo]

[Bridge: Roger Waters]

But it was only fantasy

The wall was too high, as you can see

No matter how he tried, he could not break free

''And the worms ate into his brain''

[Breakdown]

[Verse 3: Roger Waters]

Hey you

Out there on the road, always doing what you're told

Can you help me?

Hey you

Out there beyond the wall, breaking bottles in the hall

Can you help me?

Hey you

Don't tell me there's no hope at all

Together we stand, divided we fall

[Outro: Roger Waters]

(We fall, we fall, we fall, we fall, we fall, we fall, we fall, we fall…)
