I recall the codefag of qanon.pub saying something like he put all the timestamps into EST (no DST) in order to be able to compare dates and times across the DST boundary. Something like that. It's a problem with no convenient solution but what he did made sense to me as a reasonable workaround.

Any website you visit is capable of logging the IP addresses of visitors, if the website owner knows how to access the information. The web server certainly has the IP addresses of visitors, or it could not respond to them.
