I always wondered how the incredibly wealthy ruling families keep their concentrated wealth. It seemed to me that over generations, the wealth would be spread out to heirs and eventually watered down to small holdings. But if particular heirs were eliminated from supposedly diseases or accidents, the ruling family would keep most of their assets. Am I completely off base here?
