An oil tanker has been attacked by an "unknown source" at Saudi Arabia's Shuqaiq port, its operator said on Wednesday.

In a statement shared with The National, TMS Tankers Ltd said the ship was preparing to depart after offloading the oil it was carrying when it was struck.

"The Agrari was struck about one metre above the waterline and has suffered a breach," it said, adding there were no casualties and no pollution reported.

"The vessel is in ballast condition and stable," the statement added.

The incident was also confirmed by British intelligence firm Ambrey, which said a tanker was attacked at Shuqaiq in Jizan province, which borders Yemen.

A Saudi Aramco spokesman said the incident off the coast of the kingdom has nothing to do with the company and the terminal and associated infrastructure were not owned or operated by the state-backed firm.

The culprit has not yet been identified, but attacks by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels on ships have been on the increase. The Saudi-led coalition reported on Tuesday that it removed and destroyed five Iranian-made naval mines planted by the Houthis in the southern Red Sea, condemning the attempted attacks as posing “a serious threat to maritime security in the Bab Al Mandab strait.”

On Monday, a missile fired by the rebels struck an oil facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Agrari, built in 2009 and worth $17.5 million, has 14 cargo tanks and a capacity for 118,075 m³ of crude oil.

After the attack the vessel was boarded by local authorities, including the Coast Guard, and an investigation has been launched into the incident.

RINO cries when called out

Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger published an op-ed on Wednesday, pointing out that he and his family had voted for and donated to President Donald Trump, but the president still "threw" them "under the bus."

Trump endorsed Raffensperger, a Republican, ahead of his 2018 election in Georgia. Over the past few weeks, as it became apparent that Georgia would flip blue for President-elect Joe Biden, Trump and his supporters have repeatedly attacked Raffensperger as well as the Southern state's other Republican officials. In the face of significant criticism and death threats, these GOP election officials have insisted that they would follow the laws and ensure the integrity of their state's results.

"By all accounts, Georgia had a wildly successful and smooth election. We finally defeated voting lines and put behind us Fulton County's now notorious reputation for disastrous elections. This should be something for Georgians to celebrate, whether their favored presidential candidate won or lost," Raffensperger wrote in his article for USA Today titled: "My family voted for Trump. He threw us under the bus anyway."

President Donald Trump pulled the plug on a plan to travel to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania Wednesday to hear lawyer Rudy Giuliani stitch together claims of voter fraud at a Republican hearing.

White House reporters were preparing to make the journey to the historic town when they suddenly got word that the trip was off.

Just minutes earlier, yet another members of Trump's legal team, Boris Epshteyn, revealed he had tested positive for COVID-10.

According to a pool report from reporters designated to follow the president Wednesday: 'The traveling pool was getting ready to leave for Pennsylvania but was told at the last minute that their trip has been canceled.' That report came at 10:50 AM, about 40 minutes after Epshteyn's tweet.
