There is a secret Lodge society that you have never heard of, the Marzea, that is attested as far back as 4,000 years in Ugaritic texts, that is refered to in the Bible, that involved a council of 13 performing Necromantic ritual, that literally drank themselves into the Underworld.

There is a chair involved, a throne, upon that throne sit the ancestors that ruled through the Marzeah supposedly all the way back to the Gods that now dwell in the underworld, so many share that throne and through the rites they are all connected, but only one is living.

The Freemasons learnt of the secret lodge system from the Jews and adapted a support system variation of such.

Yes that's based on the Semitic secret lodge system.

>It is Baal who at the New Year's feast brings the dead heroes to life . In the great Ugarit epos about the fighting of Baal his is finally enthroned on the Mt.Saphon with the words: "Let them install Ba'lu on the chair of his kingship" . After that the rephaim are summoned to come, the sun being the one who has to lead them up from the netherworld. Their leader is Baal, the rephait

>They – the Nabataeans – prepare common meals together in groups of thirteen persons; and they have two girl-singers for each banquet. The king holds many drinking bouts in magnificent style, but no one drinks more than eleven cupfuls, each time using a different golden cup. The king is so democratic that, in addition to serving himself, he sometimes even serves the rest himself in turn’

Interestingly the term rabbi is first used in NW Semitic inscriptions to refer to the one who facilitates the Marzea ritual gatherings, the Necromantic rites.

Israel was set up as a tribal confederation based upon the Marzea, the 12 tribal leaders and overall ruler representing the 13 of the Marzea, that then extended into the regional Marzea houses down to the village level/

>The marzea was a banquet and association whose participants were mostly among the high-rank officials, and was comprised mostly of males, as indicated by Strabo It was an association of a group who had a specific deity as its patron. Each marzeaÌ was led by a rb mrz Ì’ who was responsible for managing and organizing the meeting, which was held in special places designed for this purpose. Basically, each had its own patron deity, Bel in Palmyra and Dushara in Nabataea. The Nabataeans constructed rock-cut triclinia for these funerary and religious festivals and meetings. These dining and banqueting halls were constructed to celebrate the feast of the dead

It seems likely sacrifice was made at the end of Marzea towards a process of revival having drunk themselves into a death like comatose state, similar to the Bacchanal were woman would roam in search of victim who would be torn apart and consumed raw, this eating of the flesh and blood also the basis of the Christian Eucharist.

In essence this was a life for a life in order to return from the underworld and to return the horned Devil (Hababy) that manifest at the climax of the ritual also to the underworld sated

The throat was also considered a choice delicacy, or the glands located there towards revival.

There's no evidence it was practised in Babylon, can't say that it wasn't just that there's no indication, and neither for Sumeria.

In fact it's likely the NW Semitic practises developed from Hurrian tradition were these rites took place on threshing floors as Spring rites of the return of their storm God Tessub (Semitic Baal Hadad) including the threshing floor of Hurrian Arauna which the Temple of Solomon was built upon, Jerusalem was a Hurrian city prior to Israelite conquest.

It is Tessub that goes down into the Underworld to validate his rule and return in conjunction with the Dark Gods, and the tradition of Gods being succeeded is Hurrian and the basis for the Hesiod Theogony, there's no suggestion of such in early Mesopotamian tradition.

Because the tradition was originally Hurrian the Semitic versions have no validity, you can't really graft onto such an ancestral cult, though of course they claim validity and the likes of the Free Masons believe such.

Yes that's true, En-lil as El/Kumarbi/Dagon/Saturn, Ninurta as Tessub/Baal Hadad/Jupiter, they recognized the same archetypes but there wasn't the same conflicts and struggles for supremacy as seen in Indo-European and Trans-Caucasian tradition, like the Egyptian Deities they more represented an eternal stasis rather than being consigned to the underworld when succeeded, it was the Hurrians and Anatolians that determined epochs ruled by particular Deities that formed the basis for Greek thought also.

The Babylonians were influenced by this as they considered Marduk had defeated Anu but this tradition is far less developed than Hurrian ritual of the role of the Gods consigned to the Underworld, were there can only be one supreme at any given time.

They were planetary spiritual influences, Alalu/Neptune, Anu/Uranus, Enlil/Saturn, Ninurta/Jupiter, in fact there are seven of them, eight including the Earth, the seven sons of Atiratu or Ishara, were Hurrian Allani and Ishara are the stream of consciousness from within the Earth, or Ugaritic Sapsu and Atiratu, or Eris and Aneris, or Snow White and the seven dwarves.

>I will tell of Tessub, the great lord of Kummi. I will praise the young woman Allani at the Bolts of the Netherworld. In addition to them I will speak of the young woman Ishara, a skilled goddess, famous for her wisdom.

Ishara is the Goddess of critical thought, negativity, everything that is unworthy is consigned back into the Underworld in the interests of purity.

They're going to be consigned to the Underworld were dwarves belong and they know this makes sense…
