The Daily Caller News Foundation and Judicial Watch will file a federal lawsuit Wednesday

The lawsuit is seeking records related to meetings between former FBI Director James Comey and former President Barack Obama

Comey’s statements regarding times he met with the president conflict with other statements and records.

The request by the two organizations was filed because the former FBI director claimed he rarely met with Obama, and he was an independent and nonpartisan leader of the nation’s top law enforcement agency.

The FBI has not produced any records of Comey’s meetings, well beyond the 20-day deadline for FOIA responses. Both groups are asking the court to produce the records by a certain date and enjoin the FBI from “continuing to withhold any and all non-exempt records responsive to Plaintiffs’ FOIA requests.”

Ex-Obama Lawyer Who Worked With Manafort On Ukraine Project Abruptly Leaves Law Firm

Greg Craig, the White House counsel for President Barack Obama, abruptly left his law firm as it has come under scrutiny from the special counsel’s investigation.

A spokeswoman for Skadden Arps confirmed to The Daily Caller News Foundation that Craig is no longer with the firm.

The website Above the Law first reported on Tuesday that Craig’s biography had been removed from Skadden Arps’ website.

A team led by Craig helped produce a report that sought to justify the imprisonment of Yulia Tymoshenko, a political rival of Viktor Yanukovych, the Ukrainian president at the time and an ally of Vladimir Putin’s.

Another former Skadden lawyer, Alex van der Zwaan, has pleaded guilty.

Van der Zwaan, who worked closely with Craig on the Ukraine project, claimed that he lied to investigators because he did not want to reveal that he had secretly recorded conversations with Gates and a Skadden Arps law partner.

Van der Zwaan was fired by Skadden Arps in November.
