It might not be the most opportune moment to share this, but it is somewhat related to the election. I have been doing some digging on some prominent people involved in the growth of the US NIH.

Two key figures are Albert and Mary Lasker. Albert Lasker was very influential in the founding of modern advertising. He also introduced marketing/advertising to politics. The capped text is from this article:
