I would argue that your filters for navigating the world are not prejudices. They are adaptations. Many of us avoid walking through the "wrong part of town" while simultaneously knowing that most of the people in the "wrong part of town" are good people.

 

But if were to say that all the people who live in the "wrong part of town" are bad, we would be prejudiced.

 

Similarly, if I had been molested by a bearded white male at some point in my past, I would likely as a result look upon bearded white males with extra caution.

 

However, it would be prejudicial of me to make a broad brush statement that all bearded white males are molesters, or even that all molesters are bearded white males. Even if I had been molested by ten, or one hundred of them.

Perhaps. I'm seeing it differently though.

 

They are attempting to paint legitimate anons as racists, hate mongers, etc., by posing as anons.

 

Therefore, they are attacking our character.
