Bill Gates and Rashida Jones's Big Questions Podcast #2: Is inequality inevitable?; guests included Harvard Professor Raj Chetty Compton Mayor Aja Brown

 

Harvard Professor Raj Chetty specializes in public economics and was the headliner at the 2019 House Democrats' three-day retreat at Virginia's Lansdowne Resort. It was stated in the podcast that "he is the youngest tenured faculty

member in the history of the department."

 

Chetty previously did work with Bill Gates' foundation on providing data and a narrative on if one individual was born in a specific quantile, how likely their children would end up in another quintile. The Gates Foundation and Chetty did further work on how location, education, and other factors could cause that to happen.

 

Mayor Aja Brown is a Democrat.

 

One of the gold snippets of the interview pertained to the pandemic and where the focus of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will be in the future:

Most of my time right now is to bring the pandemic to a close, both by having vaccines and better treatments, because every way you look at inequity, office worker versus manual worker, black versus white, low-income versus high-income, inner-city school versus suburban school, this has been a setback. Those who have it the toughest have paid the greatest price here, including even in the number of deaths. I hope by the end of next year, we're largely through the pandemic. I do think progressive politics will get a boost that will collect more in taxes, will use data systems to be able to track outcomes. A lot of our foundation's money will be more on the education piece because we're deep in that. We fully acknowledge that that alone isn't enough to transform a community, but it certainly is a necessary piece.

 

Potential translation:

  • Gates is working on bringing forth The Great Reset

  • Gates envisions higher taxes and more progressive politics (misnomer)

  • Data will be used to justify stories and decision and manipulate the public -→ Just like how Gates worked with organizations and scientists that fudged that data on COVID, climate change, and other issues

  • Gates will be dumping more money into the education sector → Indoctrinating our children with Marxism?
