prob PHD is academic
and PSYD is clinical
that's your opinion
yes, there are psyD in clinical psychologist
and whether you agree with it, whether you think it's real or valid doesn't matter
people work in clinical psychology and get paid bucks for this degree
they require alicenseand are credentialed in a clinical role, ie can diagnose and treat as a sole practitioner
so, yes, some psyDs are clinical
his phD is likely academic, which does not require a license and thus is not clinical
perhaps a psyD in neuroPSYCHOLOGY (still clinical but academic too)
but not neurology (that is an MD)
i know from which i speak on this topic
don't know a lot about a lot of topics
but this is my field/profession
wrong again
Currently, psychologists may prescribe in five states: Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, New Mexico, and Louisiana, as well as in the Public Health Service, the Indian Health Service, the U.S. military, and the U.S. territory of Guam.

true and probably an OT and/or PT (who has to have a doctorate now)
psychologists with: phd, psyD, or EdD
psychologist are not psychiatrists (MD)
maybe insane to you, but no different and nurse practitioners who get to RX meds
i agree, the entire degree system from undergrad to graduate has lost is way and no longer has the value that it once had
but so have the universities themselves
well, if that's how you prefer to show your integrity, go for it.
makes sense, now, why you responded the way you do.
you aren't aware of the training that these psychologists, who are licensed to RX meds in these states, are required to complete, including the added exam(s), so….
we certainly do have a declining system of healthcare
seems to have infested doctors (MDs)
particularly highlighted since covid19
and then there are the 1% who are anons just like you
