Say "no" to YouTube

I'm getting a little bit of "holiday cheer" every time I click out of a YouTube advertisement. I turn off the sound whenever an ad kicks in, and as quickly as I can get the ad off my screen.

I DON'T EVEN LOOK AT THE AD.

I've wondered for years why the companies who advertise on YouTube don't make ads that fit the venue. They have 5 SECONDS to draw viewer interest to continue watching their sell, and yet - similarly to television ads - fill it with junk and often don't reveal any product or brand name. Stupid.

And so, for a little COAL IN THE STOCKING of YouTube

I'm making a New Year's resolution…

to click the hell out of every ad as quickly as I can -

to NEVER watch an ad all the way through -

and to NEVER click through to a website that advertises there.
