Thank you for your testimony, brother. Those of us who have been born again KNOW the truth of Scripture because it is revealed by the Holy Spirit who has "made His abode" with us.

I remember when I was born again trying to explain to everyone that what I had experienced wasn't just a change of belief, it was an amazing, supernatural event that was the most real experience I had ever had. It was through no power or strength of my own but was totally from above. I was filled with a love that was beyond comprehension - a love that not only encompassed me but also flowed out to others. It was a taste of heaven - of being totally consumed with love by, from, of, for and to Jesus. That was a good few decades ago and now that initial overflowing with love has grown into the kind of mature love experienced by long-married couples. Equally powerful but not as "giddy"!

The facts of the matter are this.

If there IS a Creator God who has revealed Himself to humanity as Creator and Judge, it behoves people to discover who He is and what, as our Creator, He might require of us o.e what laws he may have imposed and what punishment He may have designed for lawbreakers and if there is any possible means of redemption He has devised.

Alternatively, if you believe there is no Creator God, and you are a product of time and chance, then you are your own god and on no account should entertain any god outside yourself because such a one could only be a usurper of your right to be your own god, answerable to none unless you so choose.

That's really all anyone needs to know and why I have rarely spoken of my experience with demonic possession except where I have believed it might be helpful in terms of discernment. Why give the devil free advertising?
