The hardest part:

listening to loved ones and contemporaries - who seem to have no concern for the future - drivel on about their covid tests (yes there are people out there subjecting themselves to multiple serial covid tests) and their self-isolation

with literally NO complaint or curiosity or discomfort

are they even human anymore?
