It’s annoying. I was in a store today and had a basket full of items for Christmas. I went to the register and was pulling out money to pay. The store owner came from the back and stepped up to ring me up, looked at me and said/gasped in an accusatory way “oh! You don’t have on your mask!” I made sure she saw me put the $100 slowly back in my wallet as I politely told her “happy Saturday!” and left my full basket on the counter.
I will never go back.
It’s more effective in small towns…
