except that it's a crock. it's FAR more difficult to buy anything containing nasty chemicals today compared to yrs gone by. when i was a boy with a basement "chemistry set," i could buy a pint bottle of red fuming nitric acid mail-order, and a postman delivered it in a simple cardboard box. now, it's a felony for a private citizen to try to buy it. sani-flush taken off market bc it contained bisulfate. mildewcide removed from market bc it contained paraformaldehyde. the list goes on and on. God forbid someone with a bit of knowledge might use household chemicals to make fireworks or worse yet drugs. more rights of honest citizens infringed in the name of "public safety." as far as carcinogens in household products goes, that started 80yrs ago, and they have been phasing them out for the past 30 yrs due to lawsuits.

>they censor the fucking universe. pic related.

it reveals the sun's companion star. binary stars are the norm. our sun's companion star is dark and in a highly elliptical orbit, approaching perihelion once every 25,000 yrs. since there is NOT a record of mass extinctions occurring every 25,000 yrs, it can't be all that terrible. but we don't know the effect it might have on a technological civilization living on the razor edge of a far less than robust infrastructure.
