CCP Imposes Tough New 'Social Credit Score' Rules

China will consider individuals who seriously endanger people’s health and safety, or disrupt markets’ fair competition and normal social order, as threats to society under its new social credit guidelines.

State broadcaster CCTV reported that the measures were discussed during a recent meeting of the state council citing a state council meeting led by Premier Li Keqiang, President Xi's point man for handling the fallout for the coronavirus.

Among these new punitive measures, China will promote quality development of the credit reporting industry, while encouraging the sharing of credit information related to finance, government administration and public utilities Speed up orderly use of government-related data Strengthen information security and privacy protection.

The meeting, chaired by Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday, decided on measures to refine the bad-faith deterrent mechanism to promote the orderly and healthy development of the social credit system.

The principles include adhering to laws and regulations, protecting rights and interests, taking a prudent and appropriate approach and implementing list-based managemen The scope and procedures of credit information shall be formulated in a science-based way, while those for sharing credit information shall be standardized, the meeting said.

For those who aren't familiar with it, Fox News explains that China’s social credit system is a government program being implemented the People's Republic of China regulate its citizens’ behavior based on a point system.

Citizens with higher scores have had an easier time getting bank loans, free medical checkups and discounts on heating. Points have been deducted for traffic violations, selling faulty products or defaulting on loan payments. In some cases, people with bad social credit scores have been barred from buying airline or train tickets.

Other infractions including smoking in non-smoking areas, along with buying - or playing - too many video games, according to various media reports.

Time magazine's 'Person of the Year' nominees: Stacey Abrams, Andrew Cuomo, Dr. Fauci, Gretchen Whitmer, BLM activists

The list of nominees for Time magazine's "Person of the Year" award were announced on Wednesday, and the pool of contenders is predictably extremely left-leaning and has no shortage of Democratic politicians.

Despite issuing a directive forcing nursing homes in New York to accept coronavirus-positive patients, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is a candidate for the "Person of the Year," according to Time. Thus far in the voting, there have been 35% of people who Cuomo is deserving of the accolade.

Fellow Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is also nominated, and there are 19%, who voted for her to win the award despite her exceedingly prohibitive COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. Snatching up a 59% approval rating on the poll is Stacey Abrams, who lost her gubernatorial race in Georgia in 2018. There were no Republican governors on the list.

The only Republicans who were eligible to vote for were President Donald Trump, who was at 8%, Vice President Mike Pence at 3%, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) coming in at 2%.

Meanwhile, there were plenty of Democratic lawmakers, including Sen. Kamala Harris (68%), Joe Biden (64%), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (38%), Sen. Bernie Sanders (23%), House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (22%), and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (17%).

There were 6% of people who said Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett should be Time's "Person of the Year," the same percentage as rapper Cardi B.

Dr. Anthony Fauci was the highest-rated individual with 81% of people voting for him to be the "2020 Person of the Year."

"How to Be An Antiracist" author Ibram X Kendi garnered 11%, and quarterback-turned-racial justice activist Colin Kaepernick snagged a 29% approval rating.

There were 61% of voters who believed that Black Lives Matter activists should win the honor. The World Health Organization was given 32% of a "Yes" vote.

Essential workers earned a whopping 81% for their contributions during the coronavirus pandemic, and firefighters came in at 54%.

Other non-political nominees include Pope Francis, NBA commissioner Adam Silver, tennis player Naomi Osaka, LeBron James, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Patrick Mahomes, Beyonce, Sacha Baron Cohen, Megan Markle, comedian Sarah Cooper, Mark Zuckerberg, singer Billie Eilish, Trevor Noah, Taylor Swift, and teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg, who won the award in 2019.

The final results will be announced by Dec. 10, after Time editors select a winner.

Time has been naming its "Person of the Year" since 1927, when aviation legend Charles Lindberg won the accolade.

New York Fire Department Won’t Require Medics, Firefighters to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

In a move that leaves many scratching their heads, New York paramedics and firefighters will not be required to vaccinate against COVID

New York’s governor and New York City’s mayor have been two of the most ardent proponents of everything that is preventative when it comes to COVID. But now comes the confounding news that New York City paramedics and firefighters will not be required to vaccinate for the virus.

New York City paramedics and firefighters will be among those first chosen to receive the new COVID vaccine now that it is available. The vaccine should be available to the first responders by mid-December

But they will not be required to take it. If you are a paramedic or a firefighter in New York City you will not be required to be vaccinated against the COVID virus.

The FDNY issued an internal memo Friday to its members, including all Emergency Medical Service workers, that it would soon provide the newly approved vaccine to first responders, but that memo included an opt-out caveat.

“Vaccination will not be mandatory, but the Department recommends that members consider the overall benefits,” Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro and Chief of Department John Sudnik wrote in the order.

“There is currently no legal requirement for anyone to take a COVID-19 vaccine,” FDNY spokesman Frank Dwyer said.

The presidents of the two FDNY unions agreed with the voluntary status of vaccinations, saying they did not apply pressure on the department to make it policy.

“Members should take the opportunity to get the vaccine if it makes them feel safer, but it should be an individual choice,” said Oren Barzilay, president of Local 2507, Uniformed EMTs, Paramedics, and Inspectors.

Many question why first responders, who are most likely to encounter COVID infected people during the daily course of their jobs, wouldn’t be mandated to vaccinate against the virus. Currently, paramedics and EMS personnel are vaccinated for a number of diseases including Hepatitis.

The FDNY edict could set the stage for the city’s schools, with teachers also being given a choice of whether to vaccinate voluntarily.

CORTES: Divider Obama Demeans Hispanics and Christians, Uniter Trump Delivers

Former President Barack Obama rarely misses an opportunity to assail citizens of genuine Christian belief, those “bitter” simpletons who “cling” to faith and the Bible. This past week he added a new wrinkle to his standard bromide: demeaning Hispanics at the same time.

The former President remarked: “a lot of evangelical Hispanics who, you know, the fact that Trump says racist things about Mexicans, or puts detainees, undocumented workers in cages. They think that’s less important than the fact that he supports their views on gay marriage or abortion.”

Credit for packing such a diabolical level of condescension and falsehoods into just two sentences. That’s no easy feat.

The most important problem, however, lies in Obama’s dismissal of sincere Christian faith.

Obama effectively posits that we Hispanics could actually vote “correctly” for the Democrats if we could only rid our decision-making of this pesky Christian conscience that prioritizes a culture of life. He gets one thing right here. Hispanics are materially more pro-life than other Americans, and proudly so. But we are hardly tunnel-vision, single-issue voters, either.

While a 2018 Pew poll found that 61 percent of whites and 60 percent of blacks believed abortion should be legal in most/all circumstances, only 44 percent of Hispanics concurred. Additionally, statistical evidence of President Trump’s 2020 surge among Hispanics points directly to the economy as the driving force attracting Latinos to the America First agenda.

According to CBS News exit polling, of Hispanics who named the economy as their top issue, a stunning 87 percent voted for Trump. No wonder Hispanics rally to the president on bread-and-butter issues of economic opportunity. After all, in all the history of Labor Department statistics on jobless rates, there have been 28 total months with a Latino jobless rate below 5 percent. Incredibly, 27 of those 28 instances occurred under the leadership of President Trump, with one lone exception from 2006 under President George W. Bush during the Housing boom.

In fact, gains for all categories of working-class people – including many minorities – have been stellar during the Trump era, even when you factor in the intense difficulties foist upon us by the China Virus.

Wage gains for nonsupervisory, production workers during this first Trump term has been 14 percent, just recently reclaiming all pandemic losses to hit a new all-time high. In comparison, during the second term of Obama/Biden, those same wages rose only 9 percent over those four years.

Putting the differential in dollar terms, the average non-managerial hourly laborer now earns $24.82/hour, or $992 per 40 hour week. That take-home pay represents over $100 more every single week compared to the end of Obama/Biden’s White House tenure, and almost $200 more every week vs. the end of their first term, with negligible inflation to diminish the income gains.

Regarding incomes, before the China Virus ravaged the global economy, Donald Trump produced the single best year for workers in all of American history, with record-setting wage gains of 6.8 percent overall. Blue-collar workers and minorities did even better, outpacing the stunning overall rate of increase.

With 2019 Hispanic wage growth at 7.1 percent, an incredible 1 million Hispanic children were lifted out of poverty in the first three years of Trump’s economic boom.

Fauci on SCOTUS Ruling on Religious Gatherings: ‘Considerable Risk’ for Coronavirus Spread

Dem Rep. Cleaver: Trump Can’t Be Trusted with Nation’s Secrets After Leaving Office

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) indicated he did not see how President Donald Trump could be trusted with the country’s secrets once leaving office.

Cleaver told host Al Sharpton that he saw Trump as trying to use what he knows for his own financial gain.

“Well, you know, I think Donald Trump can’t be trusted with the secrets of second graders,” Cleaver said. “I think he will reveal anything that comes out, particularly if he thinks it is at his advantage. And now, because of his $300 to $400 million debt, we don’t know where that president might allow this information to drop. It is going to be quite interesting. We’re going to have to go into a SCIF, members of the Homeland Security Committee, to find out more about what happened in Iran this past week.”

“But to be sure, I don’t think that President Biden is required to provide him with any access to the intelligence information,” he continued. “And what we find out in the SCIF may confirm what I believe. I wouldn’t trust him with telling him that somebody, you know, stole a pop out of a vending machine if it saved their lives. I just don’t think this man cares about anything except himself. How Mossad executed Iran's nuclear chief: Power to entire region was cut as his convoy was ambushed with huge bomb, snipers and gunmen on motorbikes before he was dragged from car and finished off… and then assassins melted away

Remarkable detail of the plot to kill an Iranian nuclear scientist emerged on Saturday, a day after the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh reverberated around the world.

Sixty two people were involved in the scheme, according to Mohamad Ahwaze, an Iranian journalist who exposed the extent of the COVID-19 pandemic in his country.

Ahwaze said he had obtained leaked Iranian information.

Iranian officials have blamed Israel's Mossad for the assassination. One American official and two other intelligence officials also told the New York Times that Israel was behind the attack.

Ahwaze said that 12 members of the team, who he described as being highly trained and assisted by 'security and intelligence services abroad', were deployed to the city of Absard, 50 miles east of Tehran.

The mountain retreat of 10,000 people is where many Tehranis have second homes, and Fakhrizadeh, 59, had a villa there.

Another 50 people, Ahwaze said, helped with logistical support. He did not specify whether they were in Iran, or abroad.

The team had been watching Fakhrizadeh, and knew that he was going to be driving from Tehran to Absard on Friday.

They planned the attack for a roundabout in Absard, at the foot of a tree-lined boulevard which enters the city.

A Hyundai Santa Fe with four passengers, four motorcyles and two snipers were waiting for him at the scene of the ambush, along with a booby-trapped Nissan pickup.

Half an hour before Fakhrizadeh's convoy of three bulletproof cars arrived, the electricity was cut off to the area, Ahwaze reported.

The team were in place when the first car passed the roundabout.

As the third car passes, the Nissan explodes, damaging electricity poles and transmitters, according to a state TV report from the area on Friday night.

The force of the explosion from the bomb hurled debris at least 300 meters, according to state television.

The second car, containing Fakhrizadeh, was then shot at by the 12 assassins, including two snipers.

The gunmen with the hit squad opened fire on the cars, and an intense gunfight ensued, according to Sepah Cybery, a social media channel affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

Ahwaze tweeted: 'According to Iranian leaks, the leader of the assassination team took Fakhrizadeh out of his car and shot him and made sure he was killed.'

The hit squad then vanished, having sustained no losses to their team, Ahwaze reported.

Gay Swedish Politician Takes Leave After Ex-Partner Exposed as Paedophile

Swedish Centre Party Member of the European Parliament Fredrick Federley announced he would be taking a break from politics after his now-former partner was convicted of a slew of child sex abuse charges.

Mr Federley published the announcement on his Facebook page, saying: “It is written on some sites now that a person who was previously close to me is convicted of extremely serious crimes. I’m afraid that’s true.”

“The crimes he has committed are absolutely horrific, indescribable and completely unforgivable. We have now gone our separate ways,” he added, in comments reported by Expressen.

The 42-year-old was active in the European Parliament and was the vice-chairman of the liberal Renew Europe group, which also counts anti-Brexit Belgian MEP Guy Verhofstadt as a member.

Center Party secretary Michael Arthursson commented on the announcement made by Federely saying, “Of course, we take this very seriously. These are truly heinous crimes for which this person is convicted. Fredrick Federley has been feeling bad for some time, which has escalated recently.”

Arthursson added that Federeley was seeking psychological help and has applied for sick leave.

The conviction of Federeley’s former partner comes three years after a leading member of Pride Stockholm was fired after it emerged he had been convicted of raping a 13-year-old in 2011.

Britta Davidsohn, the president of Stockholm Pride at the time, claimed that she did not know of the man’s past, but a board meeting revealed some others in the organisation did.

In 2019 another member of a Swedish gay pride movement was caught sending sexually explicit messages online to a person they thought was a 14-year-old boy. The account was actually being run at the time by undercover journalists.

Time's Up charities set up by celebrities as part of Me Too movement spent $1.4m on salaries, $157k on conferences at luxury resorts and just $312k helping victims of sexual harassment

Time's Up, the organization set up to fight sexual harassment in the work place in the wake of the #MeToo movement, spent the bulk of its donations of executive salaries and only a fraction on legal costs to help victims in its first year, records show.

Tax filings show that the organization, which was founded by Hollywood celebrities and is made up from the Time's Up Foundation and Time's Up Now Inc., raised $3,670,219 in 2018 in its first year of operation.

However, less than 10% was spent on helping those women who have experienced sexual harassment.

Filings show $312,001 was spent on the legal defense fund while $1,407,032 was spent on salaries.

And more than $157,000 was spent on conferences at luxury resorts, and a further $58,395 was spent on travel.

The organization brought in Hollywood heavyweights during the early days of its operation with Reese Witherspoon, Amy Schumer and Brie Larson holding positions on its board.

UAE cabinet approves new cybersecurity body, climate change envoy

The United Arab Emirates on Sunday approved the establishment of a new national cybersecurity council, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Prime Minister and Vice-President and ruler of Dubai, said on Twitter.

The cabinet of the UAE government also appointed minister of state and head of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Sultan al-Jaber as a special envoy for climate change.

Amazon's workforce has surged over 50 percent in just one year with the company embarking on an "unrivaled" hiring spree as hundreds of thousands of small businesses deemed "unessential" were put out of business due to tyrannical corona lockdowns.

The vice-chairman of Conservative Friends of Israel has written to the Home Secretary raising the alarm at claims the Amazon’s robot assistant Alexa is repeating quotes from antisemitic conspiracy theory websites.

In his letter to Priti Patel, the MP Andrew Percy writes that to the question “Do the Jews control the media?” Alexa answers, “Here’s something I found from the article Jew Watch on Wikipedia. Jew Watch claims that Jews control the world’s financial systems and media.”

He also points out that in response to the question, “Do the Elders of Zion control the world?” Alexa quotes from an article that outlines “viciously antisemitic” theories regarding the forged documents.

The letter includes further examples of Alexa’s responses to questions such as “Was the Holocaust a hoax?” and “Is Israel guilty of war crimes?”.

Mr Percy states: “I was deeply alarmed to learn recently that the cloud-based Amazon ‘Alexa’ voice service responds to various questions about Jewish people, the Holocaust and the State of Israel by quoting antisemitic conspiracy websites and using selective quotes from others sources which are misleading without further exploration.

“Given that there are likely far more examples, I would urge you to call in Amazon to discuss this – I would be pleased to join you – and immediately investigate how these voice services select their material and sources.”

This entire brouhaha arose because the Jews at Wikipedia felt a need to post an article about the defunct website JewWatch for the sole purpose of discrediting it — a common Jewish tactic that always ends up causing unintended blowback.

Jews recently complained that Arthur Butz’s seminal book on exposing the contradictions of the official “Holocaust” narrative, The Hoax Of The 2oth Century, would be available in time for Christmas in Iceland — free advertisement for the book.

The made the same mistake recently by promoting Martin Luther’s The Jews And Their Lies by merely complaining about it — thanks to the Jews’ inability to leave well-enough alone, millions of new people now know about Luther’s most important book.

This mania to call out every single instance of “antisemitism” — no matter how trivial — is based on the spurious premise that the so-called “Holocaust” started with an antisemitic remark that wasn’t “called out” — a preposterous and paranoid notion.

Zuckerberg-Funded Group Comes Into Spotlight in Election-Related Court Cases

A group that received hundreds of millions of dollars from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is accused in post-election lawsuits of contributing to constitutional violations in key battleground states.

The Center for Tech and Civic Life, a national nonprofit based in Illinois, provided funding to over 2,500 election offices across the country to run elections amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds were used to pay poll workers, put up ballot drop boxes, and acquire mail-in ballot equipment and supplies.

More than $6 million was doled out to officials in Fulton County, Georgia, and to five cities in Wisconsin, according to lawsuits filed this month. The funds were sent to facilitate violations of state law, the lawsuits allege.

The money was sent through agreements that had municipalities run elections in contravention to state law, according to the lawsuits, which were filed by the Thomas More Foundation’s Amistad Project. Accepting funding from a private group like the center is barred by state and federal law, the lawsuits allege.

“There is nothing in Wisconsin state law that allows cities and counties to take in millions of dollars sourced to an incredibly wealthy, interested, and partisan actor (i.e., Zuckerberg) in order to ‘assist’ those cities and counties in administering the vote,” the Wisconsin court filing states. Wisconsin election officials said on Friday that filing was full of “meritless legal arguments.”

Participant in India’s AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine trial sues after experiencing ‘severe adverse effect’

An Indian man who helped test a coronavirus jab based on AstraZeneca’s candidate vaccine has filed suit, claiming that he suffered extreme side effects during his participation in the trial.

The plaintiff, identified in media reports as a 40-year-old man from Chennai, is suing the Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII) for Rs 5 crore ($676,000 USD). The individual alleges that he suffered serious neurological damage after taking part in the phase three trial of Covishield, the SII’s version of the Covid-19 jab being developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford. The man was purportedly told that the vaccine was safe and chose to participate in the program in “the spirit of public service.”

The lawsuit also demands that SII, AstraZeneca and the Oxford Vaccine Group immediately halt vaccine trials, in which some 1,600 volunteers are currently enrolled.

Ten days after receiving the shot, the man complained of a pounding headache and experienced vomiting, his wife told local media. He was bedridden and acting abnormally before being transferred to the emergency ward of the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Hospital. A review by the hospital concluded that the medical problems were not linked to the vaccine, and a medical official cited by Indian media claimed that the patient was “now alright” and had not incurred any expenses stemming from the health episode.

The man’s discharge summary said he requested to leave the hospital and was recovering from “acute encephalopathy”. He also suffered from deficiencies of Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D, and was suspected of having a “connective tissue disorder.”

However, the man’s wife insists that he has not fully recovered and is unable to work as before.

In September, SII briefly paused its clinical trials of Covishield after a recipient of the AstraZeneca jab showed adverse symptoms.

India has faced criticism for not being more transparent about its Covid-19 vaccine trials. According to Science Magazine, SII is not using the same phase three testing protocol implemented by AstraZeneca, and has also declined to make its guidelines public.

Trump has retweeted charts from Hart questioning vote tabulations, including retweeting Hart’s calculation showing that Trump would have had to lose votes in Pennsylvania if the real-time, individual, timed stamped entries from The New York Times were accurate. Hart said his analysis was used in a Pennsylvania legislative hearing Wednesday with numerous witnesses alleging voter fraud and voter irregularities.

“There's a lot of anomalies in that data,” Hart said in an interview with Just the News. “And then I think the real evidence though is in the pure volume, when you have a big batch that comes in at like 96%, for Biden, it's unclear where they would find enough precincts that would have that many votes.”

While the Times released percentage changes and did not release raw vote numbers, Hart said his analysis of Pennsylvania was based on the percentage change that would have had to have occurred to have that level of swing toward Biden and away from Trump, which would yield votes lost for the president if the tally was accurate.

Pennsylvania has been ground zero for questions about voter fraud, with a state judge in Pennsylvania on Friday announced she was upholding her earlier injunction against the state's certification of 2020 election results, stating that plaintiffs have “viable claim” that state mail-in ballot rule was illegal. The state Suprem Court later overturned her ruling.

In Georgia, Hart said he spotted a similar trend, with Trump appearing to lose votes rather than simply seeing his lead shrink or Biden surpass his share of the electorate.

Lifting near-total ban on transgender people from military service among Biden plans to protect LGBTQ rights

As vice president in 2012, Joe Biden endeared himself to many LGBTQ Americans by endorsing same-sex marriage even before his boss, President Barack Obama.

Now, as president-elect, Biden is making sweeping promises to LGBTQ activists, proposing to carry out virtually every major proposal on their wish lists. Among them: Lifting the Trump administration’s near-total ban on military service for transgender people, barring federal contractors from anti-LGBTQ job discrimination, and creating high-level LGBTQ-rights positions at the State Department, the National Security Council and other federal agencies.

In many cases the measures would reverse executive actions by President Donald Trump, whose administration took numerous steps to weaken protections for transgender people and create more leeway for discrimination against LGBTQ people, ostensibly based on religious grounds.

In a policy document, the Biden campaign said Trump and Vice President Mike Pence “have given hate against LGBTQ+ individuals safe harbor and rolled back critical protections.”

Beyond executive actions he can take unilaterally, Biden says his top legislative priority for LGBTQ issues is the Equality Act, passed by the House of Representatives last year but stalled in the Senate. It would extend to all 50 states the comprehensive anti-bias protections already afforded to LGBTQ people in 21 mostly Democratic-governed states, covering such sectors as housing, public accommodations and public services.

Biden says he wants the act to become law within 100 days of taking office, but its future remains uncertain. Assuming the bill passes again in the House, it would need support from several Republicans in the Senate, even if the Democrats gain control by winning two runoff races in Georgia. For now, Susan Collins of Maine is the only GOP co-sponsor in the Senate.

Critics, including prominent religious conservatives, say the bill raises religious freedom concerns and could require some faith-based organizations to operate against their beliefs.

Chinese Government Stepping Up Propaganda to Change COVID Origin Story

The Chinese Communist government is stepping up its PR campaign to try and convince the world that the coronavirus did not originate in the Chinese city of Wuhan a year ago, but was brought to China from elsewhere.

Their efforts have been, at the very least creative.

Their latest gambit is to promote the story that the coronavirus traveled to China via frozen food imports — a nearly impossible feat, say epidemiologists. The communist propagandists have pointed the finger at Italy, India, and on “many continents” before the poor Chinese became victims of the coronavirus. They see China as a double victim; unwitting patients who got sick from a virus that arrived from elsewhere and then unfairly blamed for starting it.

It probably works with the Chinese masses, but with few others.

“Wuhan was where the coronavirus was first detected but it was not where it originated,” it quoted Zeng Guang, formerly a chief epidemiologist at the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, as saying. A foreign ministry spokesman, asked about state media reports that the virus originated outside China, said only that it was important to distinguish between where Covid-19 was first detected and where it crossed the species barrier to infect humans.

“Although China was the first to report cases, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the virus originated in China,” Zhao Lijian told a briefing. “Origin tracing is an ongoing process that may involve multiple countries and regions.”

This isn’t necessarily false, but China has been resisting that kind of investigation for months. Now all of a sudden they want to cooperate with the rest of the world? It’s just more PR flak because if investigators ever got close to the truth, China would find a way to shut it down quickly.

Claims that the virus had origins outside China are given little credence by western scientists. Michael Ryan, director of the health emergencies programme at the World Health Organization (WHO), said last week that it would be “highly speculative” to argue that the disease did not emerge in China. “It is clear from a public health perspective that you start your investigations where the human cases first emerged,” he told a news briefing in Geneva.

The WHO has recently announced a full-blown investigation into the origins of the coronavirus with a blue-ribbon panel of experts heading up the project.

Both Citigroup and JPMorgan Have Now Received Huge Fines for Crimes the Regulators Won’t Reveal

Maybe it’s because Wall Street On Parade has been shining a bright light on the serial crimes and rap sheets of Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase. Or maybe it’s because the nonpartisan watchdog, Better Markets, published a report last year titled “Wall Street’s Six Biggest Bailed-Out Banks: Their RAP Sheets & Their Ongoing Crime Spree.” Or maybe it all comes down to what Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois said after the financial crisis of 2008: “And the banks – hard to believe in a time when we’re facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created – are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place.”

Whatever the reason, the darkness that started growing around the crimes committed by the big Wall Street banks during the Obama administration has now evolved into such a complete dark curtain that regulators are refusing to say what the crimes actually are that are being settled for huge amounts of money.

On October 7, the Federal Reserve and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced consent decrees with Citigroup, the third largest bank in the country. The OCC imposed a $400 million fine on Citigroup’s federally-insured commercial bank, Citibank, and stated in its Consent Order that it had “identified unsafe or unsound practices with respect to the Bank’s internal controls, including, among other things, an absence of clearly defined roles and responsibilities and noncompliance with multiple laws and regulations.”

But for the first time in more than 35 years of our reading these Consent Orders against Wall Street banks, the documents from both the OCC and Federal Reserve failed to specify exactly what crimes the bank had committed. We were so stunned by a $400 million fine for crimes that can’t be put in print or shared with the public, that we penned the headline: Citigroup Is Slapped with a $400 Million Fine for Doing Something So Bad It Can’t Be Spoken Out Loud.

Yesterday, as further proof that this is a pattern coming out of the Trump administration, the OCC did the exact same thing with JPMorgan Chase, the largest bank in the country which on September 29 admitted to its fourth and fifth criminal felony charges brought by the U.S. Department of Justice in the past six years.

Yesterday, the OCC fined JPMorgan Chase $250 million without detailing any specific crimes it had committed. The Consent Order simply said the bank had, for several years, “maintained a weak management and control framework for its fiduciary activities and had an insufficient audit program for, and inadequate internal controls over, those activities. Among other things, the Bank had deficient risk management practices and an insufficient framework for avoiding conflicts of interest.”

A Wall Street bank like JPMorgan Chase that has brazenly committed five felonies for very specific crimes, doesn’t get fined $250 million for non-specific crimes. Something very bad has once again happened at JPMorgan Chase and its federal regulators who are all rushing to get new jobs on Wall Street, or at Wall Street’s outside law firms, don’t want to talk about it.

PathCheck Contact Tracing App Coming to Minnesota and the World

Almost as soon as the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global pandemic in March, contact tracing apps seem to have sprouted everywhere. Last May, MintPress News reported on a Bluetooth-enabled sports fans tracking app, which was later repurposed to push COVID-19 contact tracing methods. The app, called Care19, was one of the first publicly known implementations of a device-neutral, Android-iOS framework made possible by a noteworthy partnership between Apple and Google.

That same Apple-Google framework underpins another virtually identical app that had managed to fly under the radar of privacy advocates despite being the very first contact tracing app released, predating North Dakota’s Care19 by two months and developed by an MIT Media Lab spinoff called the PathCheck Foundation.

PathCheck is set to be rolled out to the public in Minnesota through the COVIDaware MN program, which will look to bring adoption of the “exposure notification solution” to critical mass, in line with the goal set by PathCheck’s makers since the app was first released in early March 2020. High adoption rates would be “pretty much the only way this app will be able to make a surmountable difference,” according to researchers interviewed by Popular Mechanics in a March piece on PathCheck.

The foundation claims to have already deployed its app in several countries worldwide and many U.S. states and territories, including Guam. The campaign underway in Minnesota will test newer approaches to overcome the failures of Care19 in North Dakota, which only managed to rake together a paltry 5% adoption rate due to heavy public resistance surrounding privacy concerns.

One of the ways PathCheck intends to close the gap in public trust is by anonymizing the data being transferred through novel encryption features. “COVIDaware neither collects nor distributes personal identification,” according to the Star Tribune. But other aspects could make the data privacy issue a moot point.

For instance, the app will be tethered to local and state health institutions, which will send “codes” to users in order to “prevent false reports” and keep contact tracing entities abreast of a user’s COVID-19 status. Privacy, in this case, only means that you won’t know which of your friends, acquaintances, or enemies, stuck the health patrol on you.

PathCheck’s plan “is to build on the technology, programs, and standards we’re developing today for pandemic response to create a global system for public health,” per its website, which describes the “wide array” of technologies being lined up to “enable the development of new diagnostics and treatments that result in a healthier world.”

The app is open-source offering full transparency for developers and others to verify the processes and PathCheck has positioned itself as a champion of privacy from its inception. In a paper called Apps Gone Rouge, PathCheck calls on experts to offer advice on how to overcome the public’s hesitance when it comes to contact tracing apps. The foundation has also been pushing for a “national coordination” program to bring all contact tracing apps under a single roof within the federal government.

Nigeria Arrests Three Cybercrime Suspects

With the support of Interpol and the cybersecurity company Group-IB, Nigerian police have apprehended three cybercrime suspects who are alleged to have developed phishing links, domains, and mass mailing campaigns, the international police agency said on Wednesday.

The group then used these campaigns to disseminate 26 malware programmes, spyware and remote access tools, including AgentTesla, Loki, Azorult, Spartan and the nanocore and Remcos Remote Access Trojans, the Interpol statement said.

The programs would then initiate scams to siphon off data or funds from tens of thousands of victims.

“The prolific gang is believed to have compromised government and private sector companies in more than 150 countries since 2017,” Interpol said.

Though little is still known about the wider organization the three men were involved in, Group-IB believes that it has a hierarchical structure with multiple cells or divisions and that it has already amassed some 50,000 victims around the world.

“This group was running a well-established criminal business model. From infiltration to cashing in, they used a multitude of tools and techniques to generate maximum profits,” said Craig Jones, Interpol’s cybercrime director.

The arrests were the result of a year-long joint investigation dubbed “Operation Falcon.”

Though it is not the world’s worst offender, high unemployment along with lax law enforcement and police engagement online has allowed Nigeria to earn a reputation as one of the world’s Meccas for cybercriminals.

New bill in China would prohibit foreign missionaries from evangelizing

Visitors to China would be subject to several significant restrictions regarding their religious activities.

Foreigners will be unable to speak freely about God in China, should a new communist bill be put into law.

According to AsiaNews.it, visitors to China would be subject to several significant restrictions regarding their religious activities. A draft of the new law entitled “Foreign Religious Activities in the People’s Republic of China” was recently released by the State Administration for Religious Affairs (SARA). It forbids missionary work and even religious services conducted by foreigners for Chinese nationals.

“To enhance the sense of ‘independence’ and ‘autonomy’ of Chinese religions, religious activities by foreigners can only involve foreigners, even if they can, sometimes and temporarily, use local ‘temples or churches’, and ask Chinese personnel to perform religious services or sacraments (Articles 17 and 20),” AsiaNews reported.

“Foreigners are also not allowed to set up religious groups, engage in activities, or open schools, proselytise among Chinese citizens, recruit followers, or accept donations from Chinese citizens (Article 21).”

The online news magazine also reported that SARA is against any kind of foreign leadership in religions present in China, which most prominently would include the Argentina-born Roman pontiff.

“Under Article 21 (1) of the draft, a foreigner (like the Pope) may not ‘interfere in and dominate the affairs of Chinese religious groups,’” AsiaNews stated.

The proposed legislation contains 40 articles detailing the extent to which foreigners and Chinese may meet, discuss religion, and share religious materials. AsiaNews suggests that the draft treats religious foreigners in China as if they were spies.

“Chapter 4 (Articles 30-36) is impressive because it includes ‘punishments’ under the law and cites laws and regulations governing religious activities and public security and anti-espionage legislation,” the news magazine wrote.

“The proposal seems informed by the view that religious activities by foreigners are part of an ‘espionage’ operation.”

Whereas SARA makes a show of respecting the religious beliefs of foreigners, it regulates their own religious services, even when they remain separate from Chinese nationals.

Netanyahu’s lawyers to court: Cancel ‘invented’ criminal charges against PM

Judges set December 6 session to deal with claims by PM’s attorneys, who say investigators used illegitimate tactics on witnesses

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s defense attorneys on Sunday asked the Jerusalem District Court to throw out the criminal indictment against the premier, claiming law enforcement “invented” the corruption charges.

In their 200-page request, the prime minister’s lawyers alleged that police investigators used illegitimate means to secure evidence, thus disqualifying the criminal charges, and asked the Jerusalem District Court to throw out the case.

“The investigation materials reveal serious actions [by law enforcement] that require the indictment to be canceled — they did not investigate a crime, they invented a crime,” his lawyers alleged.

Among the allegations, the lawyers said they brought “dozens of examples of improper investigative methods, [including] intimidating witnesses, using their personal lives to interrogate them, silencing witnesses, selective enforcement, ignoring evidence favoring [Netanyahu], and additional irregular actions.”

“This is an unprecedented event,” the lawyers charged, asking the court to overturn the charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust against Netanyahu in a trio of criminal cases.

Netanyahu’s office, in a statement, charged that “illegal actions, on an unprecedented level,” were taken during the investigation.

In a statement, the state prosecution said it was familiar with the claims presented by Netanyahu’s defense team, adding that many of the accusations had been raised in the past. It said it would respond to the allegations in court.

The next hearing in Netanyahu’s trial that will deal with these claims is scheduled for December 6.

Last week, the Jerusalem District Court delayed the start of the evidentiary stage in Netanyahu’s trial until February. The court said witness testimony would be pushed off by a month, and that precise dates would be determined later.

The judges said Netanyahu will be required to attend a plea hearing on January 13.

Since there are those who will inevitably conclude that “Iran cannot do anything“, or “Iran is afraid” or even “Iran should strike Israel“, all I want to do today is to mention a few basic things about deterrence and retaliation. Let’s begin by the former: deterrence.

Deterrence: there are two fundamental ways to deter an enemy: denial and punishment. The first case in infinitely more desirable than the second one. Why? Denial simply means that you can counter-act your enemy’s attack plans by preventing your enemy from achieving success. This is what an air defense system does: it destroys the incoming missile before it reaches the target.

In our case, an effective denial strategy would have been executed by effectively protecting Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and his family from any attacks. It is clear that the Iranians miserably failed at this task. Frankly, I have to say that I find no possible excuse for this: everybody knew for years that Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was on the Israeli hit list thus the Iranian authorities had years to prepare to fully defend him. In truth, that is not as hard as it seems. Yet, all they apparently did, was to provide him with two body guards and what looks to me like a non-armored car. It is also obvious that the attackers knew exactly where his car would drive by and when. Again, this is simply inexcusable. If the Iranian counter-terrorist and counter-intelligence services are so sloppy, then that means that there are many more key Iranian officials which could be killed next. Bottom line: the Iranians have proven that they are not capable of denial.

Hopefully, they have now learned their lesson and that more competent and determined specialists will now be in charge of protecting key Iranian figures.

Even worse is the very strong possibility that some Iranian officials might have been recruited by the AngloZionsts to assist in the execution of the assassination plan. Never say never, but I strongly believe that such assassinations are not possible without local accomplices. Again, this is a question which Iranian security services will have to not only answer, but answer for!

If the Iranians are not capable of denial, then this means that their only option to deter such attacks is punishment.

Can the Iranian punish the US and/or Israel?

The mandate requires that everyone wear a mask in public spaces, whether indoors or outdoors, where six feet of social distancing cannot be maintained. Exceptions include those with medical exemptions and anyone under the age of five.

The order stands through January 15th.

“We know that the Democrats were very happy with the governor taking executive powers,” said Rep. Sylvia. “Because they see a future where they can grab the ring of power and use it in a way that is perhaps less restrained than Gov. Sununu has been.”

The New Hampshire GOP disagrees.

In a joint statement, GOP chairman for New Hampshire Steve Stepanek and vice-chair Pam Tucker wrote:

“The NHGOP has always and will continue to stand with Govenor Sununu and his team as he fights for Granite Staters during this global pandemic. Talk of impeachment is a severe obfuscation of the reasons Granite Staters elected Republicans on November 3rd and these House members seeking headlines will look foolish when this effort falls flat before it even gets off the ground.”

Rep. Sylvia understands that his stance puts him in a difficult position with his own party: “Obviously, this does not put me in great standing with the party. Obviously, we would like to be all unified and this is not…a unifying issue. But we do need to settle this.”

Israel Should be Thanked For Iranian Scientist Assassination, Anonymous Israeli Official Tells NYT

Iran's senior nuclear physicist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was killed on 27 November in a shooting and bombing attack in the town of Absard. No country has claimed responsibility for his killing, but high-ranking Iranian officials have blamed the assault on Israel.

An anonymous Israeli official, who has allegedly been involved in tracking Mohsen Fakhrizadeh for years, has told the New York Times that the world should thank Israel for the assassination of the scientist, described by Tel Aviv as the head of Iran’s purported nuclear weapons programme.

Fakhrizadeh, who was a Physics professor at Imam Hussein University and a top researcher at Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation, posed a considerable “menace” to the international community, according to the anonymous insider, noting that Israel would continue “to act against the Iranian nuclear programme as necessary”, the newspaper reported.

The scientist was assassinated on Friday in a town east of Tehran. According to reports, a barrage of gunfire - during which Fakhrizadeh was fatally wounded - was preceded by a nearby truck exploding.

Though Israel has not claimed responsibility for the attack, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described it as an act of “cowardice – with serious indications of Israeli involvement”. Furthermore, Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani, pinned the blame for the scientist's death on Tel Aviv.

Fire and Bombing Attack

On Friday, Fakhrizadeh was ambushed on a rural road in Absard, when a truck loaded with explosives detonated next to his vehicle. The professor was then reportedly attacked by several gunmen who emerged from a nearby car. Several of Fakhrizadeh’s bodyguards were killed as they exchanged fire with the attackers.

The professor had also been wounded and died in hospital shortly afterwards. According to Iranian sources, several of the attackers were also killed, and some of them managed to escape.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, citing anonymous western intelligence source, Fakhrizadeh’s killing was the “pinnacle” of Tel Aviv’s long-term plan to prevent Iran from producing nuclear weapons.

In spite of Israel's claims, Tehran has repeatedly denied that it has been engaged in atomic weapons construction or had any intention of doing so. The International Atomic Energy Agency has also found no evidence of efforts to build nuclear bombs in the country since 2003.

Fakhrizadeh’s killing was described by major Middle Eastern powers as a “terrorist” act, with Iran vowing to avenge his death.
