Lunar Eclipse

Tune in to our live stream on November 30 from 8:30 UTC (check your local times below!) and watch November's Beaver/Frost Moon as it travels through the Earth's light penumbral shadow. Penumbral lunar eclipses are usually a bit hard to see with the naked eye, but this one is a deep eclipse. Around 82% of the Moon's surface is covered by the Earth's penumbra, so you should be able to see parts of the Moon turn a shade darker—especially if you follow the event in our live stream where we have the option to enhance the telescope footage to better bring out the shade.
