So I just went back and skimmed the 2018 EO, and realized a couple of snags with the deadlines.

The first says that the DNI assessment shall be filed no later than 45 days after the election. This means that he can take up to 45 days, but may have already performed the assessment.

The second one was that no later than 45 days after RECEIVING the assessment they then have Another 45 days to file a report for verification and recommended action.

So this could take a whopping 90 days…
