A senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander was killed overnight Sunday, Al Arabiya has reported.

 

Citing Iraqi sources, Al Arabiya said that Muslim Shahdan was killed near the border between Syria and Iraq on Sunday night.

According to the sources, a drone targeted the Iranian commander’s car near the border.

 

No other details were provided and Iran has neither confirmed nor denied reports of Shahdan's death.

In the US, we don't actually elect our president. We elect representatives, who elect "electors" to choose the president.

The December 14th date is when those electors must vote for a president.

January 20th, is when the president officially "becomes" president.
