Christy Smith concedes to Mike Garcia in tight CA-25 race
Democratic candidate Christy Smith conceded the race for California District 25 late Monday to Rep. Mike Garcia, the Republican incumbent.
For weeks, the two took turns in the lead for the seat, separated by a hair of a margin. After days of trailing Garcia, Smith conceded the Garcia, marking another GOP win in the state. Garcia maintained a slim lead over Smith by 333 votes as of Monday evening, according to the Los Angeles and Ventura county registrars' office.
