there have been export restrictions for many years on medical devices and any other thing having nuclear material
"shitty" countries complain they can't do medical treatments because of it
scrapyards here test all incoming scrap with a geiger counter before they will buy it from you
this keeps it out of the scrap/recycling stream
have no clue about what they do with imports
