That is a good idea. I called the library. Available to view "what is left of it" upon request.

Library had it since the 1840's.

Northampton County Militia flew that specific flag during the War of 1812.

"The standard" flag was hoisted July 8, 1776 during the reading of The Declaration of Independence. This is where the history is foggy. It is assumed that this flag was the standard, but a description of the flag was not recorded.

 

I will visit the Easton Public Library the next time I am in the area. It is on a special table, covered in glass, with a replica quilt draped over it to protect it from the light.
