For example, we could have obtained all of the data using other means (digitally) and simply worked some levers to get the germans to meddle with the train schedules and seed some social media reports.
This way, no one really knows exactly how the data was obtained or the extent of our capabilities in either area. How much was boots on ground, how much was raw cyber war…?
In any event, the idea jsoc was going to come out and say we conducted a military operation on an ally is absurd. That shit won't see the light of day for 80 years or more if it happened.
